Save Polar Bears

Are electric planes on their way ?

It\’s raining bears…

Volt or Ampera

I just learned that in Europe we wont have the Volt but the Ampera, produced by Opel (and Vauxhall for HM the Queen citizens).

At first glance, no problem with that.

Except that the Ampera wont be available before end of 2011/early 2012, one year after the volt , and that the design is not the same. The front of the Ampera if horrible !! And the future of Opel isn’t very bright…

I dont think it is a good option because Renault, and other european industrials, are planning to release their EREV that same year 2012…

And it is not a good option because I WANT A VOLT, I WANT A CHEVY ! AND THAT’S ALL.

So do like you want, but you must have GM Chevrolet european dealers able to sell Volts at last in the beginning of 2011.

Thank you in advance.

Hey GM, will you check that ?

I own an Honda, a big one, called Accord here in Europe.

Here, it is fall, nearly winter. Cold in the morning and late evening. And dark too, if you have to go to work early.

So last morning, I was leaving home, using everything electric possible in my car : heat, clim, lights, rear deFROster (thx), rear-view mirror deFROster too, and I arrived at a stop (so braking and lighting the stop lights) and since there was a lot of mist remaining, I opened the electric window to see something outside. And I saw that my window was so slooooow going back, because of the lack of energy…And it makes me wonder, about the volt :

will the use of everything eletric in the car, in winter by night for example, listening to music with the nice included stereo, drain so much energy that the battery wont sustain it ? or not ? What about the 40 miles autonomy without gas in such power draining conditions ?

Hey GM ! Dont forget that, please.

Quoi dire ?

I live in Provence, between Marseille and Aix en …Provence, for 6 years now.

Talking about cars, I got an old Honda Accord, that I will change when a 100%¨electric car, like the Volt, will arrive on the market, and if it’s affordable…

Have a nice day, reader…
